The Dent County Board for the Developmentally Disabled is a political subdivision which is enabled by the citizens of Dent County to provide and/or contract for services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The Dent County Board entered into a partnership with the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) to provide Support Coordination to developmentally disabled individuals in Dent County.

Support Coordinators link individuals to programs, resources, and services to enabling them to live an independent and productive life. The Support Coordinator works with the individual and planning team to develop an individualized support plan which reflects the individual’s preferences and goals. Support Coordinators monitor and evaluate all programs to ensure the highest quality support is provided to each individual. Support Coordinators also assist families with school age children by providing advocacy services for their IEP’s.
